Hilltop Garden Design was born out of a passion for making beautiful outdoor spaces. Drawing from a rich history of English Cottage Gardens, Wild Gardens, and Country Gardens, Hilltop specializes in planning and creating romantic and ebullient gardens that compliment their surroundings.
The foundation of great gardens relies on getting the design "right", and once this is accomplished, flowers and plants make their entrance and make our gardens into the extraordinary places they should be!

Dannie Wright
Designer, Hilltop Garden Design
Dannie Wright is an artist with a background in horticulture, landscape contracting, and floristry. Dannie specializes in conceiving and creating outdoor places that are artistically inspired, relevant, and responsive to the specific conditions in which they are set with an emphasis on plant selections that compliment the natural and built environment.

Dannie has worked as a horticulturist and garden designer at Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Gardens. She has also worked as a florist and flower farmer at Hilltop Flower Co. Dannie brings a wealth of experience to compliment her natural artistic feel for outdoor spaces.

LANDSCAPE & GARDEN DESIGN
Hilltop Garden Design offers full garden design services for clients whether it is a small town garden or a larger landscape. Most projects we undertake are for private clients but we can also design beautiful outdoor spaces for commercial properties.
HORTICULTURE & LANDSCAPING
Hilltop pays attention to all of the little details in our plant designs, factoring in light, seasonality, architecture, plant growth, and more; and we choose plants that will thrive in their given environment and continue to delight throughout the seasons. Not only can your gardens be visually stunning but various plantings can also be used to solve various landscaping issues such as creating privacy, or shade, or mitigating flooding.
HARDSCAPING
Hilltop Garden Design can bring beautiful and durable hardscaping elements to your space using real stone, premium cobblestone, flagstone, and more. Hardscaping can integrate seamlessly into your landscape to create something as large as an outdoor living space or something as simple as a new front walkway. We can help you create outdoor staircases, outdoor fireplaces or custom fire pits, stone patios, pergolas, retaining walls, paths, and much more.

VISION
We begin the garden design process by meeting with you to understand your goals and vision for your garden. During this meeting, we will establish a budget, identify site conditions, and take measurements. Afterward, we will develop the site survey into a hand-drawn master plan.

DESIGN
We will transform your vision into a romantic and ebullient garden space. You'll receive hand-drawn garden plans from Dannie Wright, our expert horticulturalist, guaranteeing a garden that is both visually beautiful and sustainable.

INSTALLATION
We consider every detail of a project from its inception to its completion. We are a full-service design-build company so that we can ensure the final installation and maintenance of your garden are done properly, ensuring the design vision translates into reality.
